All
features, such as the sliding doors that can be closed to divide the
living room in two and the ornaments on cupboards and ceiling, are original
features from when the house was built in 1930 |
The
house is situated at the centre of the block and has a full width (5+
meters) balcony at the back that offers a great an spacious view over
the gardens. A barbecue is present. In the mornings you can benefit
from the sun coming in. |
The
bed is freshly made and there is ample storage under the bed in two
large hidden drawers |
The
second bedroom, at the front of the house, is presently a study. Both
bedrooms have a sink. |
The
kitchen has everything fitted. The stove/oven and the sink will be renewed
in the near future. The washing machine is brand new. In the cupboards
you will find anything you need to prepare your dinners. The cupboard
on the left with glass doors is original from 1930. |
The
bathroom has a shower unit with sliding doors and a thermostatic shower
tap. A complete new unit was fitted in November 2004. The size is small
- a typical Amsterdam characteristic of early 20th century building. |
The
neighbourhood, Vondelparkbuurt, is one of the most popular in Amsterdam.
The 'Zuidas', with the headquarters of ING and ABNAMRO is at walking
distance. The area has many shops, restaurants and other facilities
and the motorway is a few minutes' drive. Tram stops nearby for lines:
2,3,4,5,12,16,24 and 25. Many buses stop in the neighbourhoud, as also
the Haarlemmermeer station is a stone's throw away. |
